TOURIST INFORMATION
Reddersburg Municipality: 051 553 0011
The origin of this town is directly linked to the Dutch Reformed Parish that was established on the farm Vlakfontein in 1859. The town Reddersburg was laid out two years later. The name of the town means "Saviour's Fort" and it relates directly to the Saviour, Jesus Christ. During those years the town was well known for its strict moral laws and the using of profane language meant banishment from the town.
